Kazakhstan - European Union: cooperation in energy sphere
Astana, 26 July 2008 (Khabar) - Kazakhstan prime-minister Karim Massimov has met a delegation of the European Union headed by the speaker on Central Asia Pierre Morel with the discussion of issues about further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union and changed opinions about regional interaction in the energy sphere and oil transportation.
Karim Massimov approved the devotion of Kazakhstan to the multivectorial policy in the sphere of transportation of energy resources and expressedsupport for initiatives of the EU on the development of the South direction of oil transportation.
Discussing the development of events on realisation of the Kashagan project the prime-minister announced that they have found a compromise and the drawing of documents is in the process. Interlocutors have stated the necessity of the development of cooperation and strengthening of mutually profitable contacts for solving intended missions.
