Minister of Finance Meets Officials on Sidelines of his Participation in Annual Autumn Meetings of IMF and World Bank Group

Washington, October 13 (QNA) - HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari met separately with HE Minister of Treasury and Finance of the friendly Republic of Turkey Dr. Nureddin Nebati, HE Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Italy Daniele Franco, and HE Deputy Secretary of the US Treasury Wally Adeyemo. These meetings discussed the most important economic developments and challenges that the world is witnessing at the regional and international levels, during which the State of Qatar's relations with these countries in the economic and investment fields and aspects of joint cooperation were reviewed. These bilateral meetings took place on the sidelines of the participation of HE the Minister of Finance in the annual fall meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) in Washington - the United States of America, which will be held from 10 to 16 October. The annual meetings bring together central bank governors, ministers of finance and development, senior officials from the private sector, representatives of civil society organizations, and academics; To discuss issues of global concern, including the global economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness. The meetings are also accompanied by seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and many other events focusing on the global economy, international development and the global financial system.
