Minister receives Jordanian business delegation

Manama, Mar. 29 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani received a Jordanian delegation led by the chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce, Essa Hayder Murad. They explored topics of mutual interest, especially bilateral economic ties. The minister emphasized the support of the leaderships and governments of both countries and their directives to boost these ties and upgrade the partnerships and business between the two sides to achieve the approved goals and visions, lauding the role played by the private sector in both countries and citing the huge support of both governments to achieve the aspirations which ultimately culminates the interest of both national economies. The head of the Jordanian delegation reviewed his country's efforts in expanding the range of its partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain and potential of bolstering the volume of bilateral trade and increasing his country's exports to Bahrain, including high quality agricultural products and creating more opportunities for cooperation and partnership between businesspeople in both countries. The minister reviewed the potential investment opportunities provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain government inside the country and outside, and infrastructure, suitable investment climate for domestication of investment and various projects. He reaffirmed the government's welcoming all investments and initiatives held between the business sectors in both Bahrain and Jordan and its support by all possible means. The minister affirmed the government's interest in Jordan experience of benefiting from its Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed with the United States of America in boosting its exports. Also attending the meeting were the chairwoman of Businesswomen Club Reem Badran, Dignitaries House Member Hayfa Al Bashir, Businesswomen and Professions Forum's chairwoman Taghreed Al Nafeesi, alongside with several members of the Jordanian business delegation visiting Bahrain.
