Mohammed bin Zayed continues IDEX tours

Abu Dhabi, Feb 21, 2013 (WAM) - His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has continued his visits to the pavilions of IDEX 2013, which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). In his fourth tour, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed about the hi-tech defence products being showcased by the exhibitors. He met the companies' officials and exhibitors who briefed him about their plans to boost the defence and military industries. The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince toured the Spanish (URO) Company, which manufactures combat armours. He was briefed about the models of the combat armours that had carried out the operations in the minefields and provided safety for their crews and passengers. He also visited the pavilion of Emirates Defence Technology Company, which manufactures gun mount systems for combat vehicles and a number of other defence industries. Sheikh Mohammed toured the German pavilion, the second biggest stand at the exhibition, where he was introduced to the major contributions of the German defence industries, being showcased at the IDEX 2013. He praised the high standard of exhibitors in terms of quality and volume, noting that "the event is an exemplary launch-pad for featuring the latest defence and military products." - Emirates News Agency, WAM
