MONGOLIAN STUDENT GRADUATES WMU MAJORING IN MARITIME

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's student D.Baigalmaa graduated the World Maritime University /WMU/ in Malmo, Sweden, on December 3.
Thus she has become the third Mongolian to graduate the WMU and the second to get the master degree on maritime.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from Mongolia to Sweden, B.Enkhmandakh has participated in the 29th graduation ceremony and expressed a gratitude to WMU president. He also said this university plays its role in several matter such as stabilizing Mongolia's policies on maritime issues, improving a legislature, strengthening staffers.
Then he has invited the WMU authority to Mongolia so as to share views on the maritime and other cooperation. The sides have agreed to implement this visit.
The WMU was established by an IMO Assembly Resolution in 1983. The aim of WMU is to further enhance the objectives and goals of IMO and IMO member states around the world through education, research, and capacity building to ensure safe, secure, and efficient shipping on clean oceans. WMU is truly an organization by and for the international maritime community.
The World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmo is a postgraduate maritime university founded by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the United Nations. The WMU is a center of excellence for maritime post-graduate education and research. WMU offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs as well as Professional Development Courses with the highest standards in maritime affairs.
