M'sian Awarded UK-CIPR Fellowship For Outstanding Work In PR

KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 (Bernama) -- Dr Millicent Danker, Founder & CEO of Kuala Lumpur-based consulting firm, Perception Management International, has become the first Malaysian to be awarded a Fellowship by the London-based Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). The conferment is for her outstanding contribution to the institute as well as the wider public relations profession. Danker, as one of Asia’s foremost public and stakeholder relations counsellors, has been at the forefront of reputation management practice for more than 35 years. She has been noted for her expertise in the areas of corporate policy, communications strategy, stakeholder management, media, crisis and issues management, communications policy development, corporate transparency and communication ethics, strategic messaging and leadership communications, communications training and workshop facilitation at director level. Jane Wilson, CEO of the CIPR said the CIPR Fellowship is the most august group within the profession. Danker said:"As a Malaysian, I am deeply honoured to have been recognised in this way by the CIPR which is a highly regarded professional body in Europe. "Ours is an industry that remains unregulated in Asia and accreditation and professional recognition is the only way to build respect and credibility for the practice of public relations." -- BERNAMA
