Namibia seeks Iranian expertise in oil exploration

TEHRAN,Dec.15 (MNA)-- Namibian mines and energy minister Isak Katali has called Iran to help the African country in oil and gas explorations as well as development of its drilling industry. During a visit to Iran’s South Pars gas field development project sites, Katali lauded Iran’s significant progress in the petrochemical secto. 'Namibia is not an oil producing country but is willing to benefit from the Islamic Republic of Iran's experiences through cooperation in building an oil refinery in our country', the Namibian minister said. Iran has announced readiness to export engineering services to Namibia and build an oil refinery with the daily capacity of 60,000 barrels in the African country,Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi said.
