National Council for Tourism and Antiquities signs MOC with Belarusian Tourism Authority

Abu Dhabi, April 28, 2013 (WAM) - On the sideline of the first joint committee between UAE and Belarus held on 24th and 25th of April, the National Council for Tourism and Antiquities (NCTA) and the Belarusian Tourism Authority signed a memorandum of joint cooperation. The Committee was held in capital of Belarus Minsk under the chairmanship of Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in the presence of a number of government officials. The MOJC reflects interest of both countries to strengthen bonds of partnership and cooperation and to further consolidate relations in the tourism sector. Director General of the NCTA Mohammed Khamis Muhairi, who signed the MOJC for the UAE side, stressed the keenness of the Council and constant support of sustainable and balanced development through reinforcing cooperation in tourism field between the UAE and the rest of the world. Al Muhairi added that the signing of MOJC with Belarus contributes to spreading awareness about teamwork and building bridges of cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the world as well as strengthening the role of tourism sector in the country through a wide-scale cooperation of all parties to achieve strong partnerships and to exchange expertise. Al Muhairi explained that the agreement included a number of articles that contribute to the development of the tourism sector in both countries, including the establishment of a framework with adequate measures that promote the development of tourism to strengthen cooperation between the tourism regulatory bodies, travel agencies and other tourism-related establishments He pointed out that protocol takes into consideration the possibility of facilitating and enhancing tourists flow between the two countries. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
