NBB sponsors BIAS 2018

Manama, Apr. 23 (BNA): Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry announced today the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) as a Silver Sponsor for the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS2018) to be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on November 14-16 at Sakhir Airbase in Bahrain. The agreement, signed by Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, and NBB, reflects efforts being driven by HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of HM the King and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of BIAS, to further encourage banks and national companies to enhance their participation and support for international events being held in the Kingdom. The agreement marks NBB’s sponsorship of BIAS organised by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahrain Air Force in cooperation with Farnborough International. "I would like to extend our appreciation to the management of the National Bank of Bahrain for becoming a sponsor of the fifth edition of BIAS which is being held later this year," the minister said. "BIAS is a high-level global event which aims to elevate Bahrain’s profile on a regional and international level. NBB’s Silver Sponsorship is a strong example of the pivotal role that the Bank can play in helping ensure the success of this important event." Jean-Christophe Durand, NBB Chief Executive Officer, said NBB was participating as a Silver Sponsor in BIAS in line with its commitment to supporting initiatives and events that enhance Bahrain’s economy and further strengthen its partnership with the local community. BIAS is another strategic event being held in Bahrain that helps to elevate the position of the Kingdom and place it at the centre of the world business map, he added. Bahrain International Airshow has established a strong track record of success over the last four editions in attracting key Bahraini banks and companies as sponsors helping to enhance the Show’s presence at the local, regional and international levels.
