New Refinery Under Construction In Shiraz By Domestic Technology

Tehran, Sept 22, IRNA – New refinery under construction in Shiraz will use domestic technology. Parsian Oil and Gas Company will provide 70 percent of the investment required for the project, Managing-director of Iranian Engineering and Oil Structure Company Farhad Ahmadi said on Saturday. Addressing the inaugural ceremony marking to pipe gas condensates from Farashband Refinery to Shiraz Refinery, Farhad Ahmadi added that environmental obstacles for the implementation of the project have been removed. “All phases of designing, construction and commissioning of the project will be undertaken by the Iranian firms,” he said. Some 633.050 trillion rials have been invested by Iran’s Engineering and Oil Structure Company in the past two years, Ahmadi said, noting that at present, some 14 projects are being implemented at the cost of 1788 trillion rials. “Fortunately, remarkable successes have been made in the oil and gas field in the past two years, one of which is commissioning the biggest gasoline production line in the Middle East,” he said. Ahmadi described launching an eight-inch pipeline carrying gas condensates from Farashband Refinery to Shiraz Refinery as one the great achievements for the oil industry./end
