New Steps Toward Consolidating Iran-Lebanon Trade Ties: Official

Beirut, Feb 22, IRNA – Economy attaché of Iran embassy in Lebanon said that members of Yazd chamber of commerce and joint council of Iran-Lebanon businessmen during their visit to Lebanon signed different agreements to develop trade relations between the two countries.
Abbas Abdulkhani told IRNA here that the Iranian delegation met with Iran Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi as well as head of Lebanese side of Joint Council Abbas Fouzi and discussed possibility of bilateral investment.
He added that the trade delegation included directors of Iranian firms in the fields of producing tile and ceramic, stone and mine, food industry, oil production, textile, disposables, pipes, fertilizers as well as engineering and technical services.
The Iranian delegation also attended a gathering with their Lebanese counterparts in a conference dubbed as “ Introducing Iran-Lebanon trade opportunities.”
The attaché added that Iranian trade delegation also met with Lebanese Economy and Trade Minister Nicolas Nahas accompanying Iran’s ambassador and members of chamber of commerce of Lebanese cities of Beka and Zihla.
Abdulkhani concluded that the delegation, during their 5-day visit, signed trade contracts in different fields and Memoranda of Understanding to exchange trade information between chambers of commerce of both countries./end
