Omani Pavilion at Expo Milano receives GCC delegations

Milan, Oct. 29 (BNA): The Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at Expo Milan, 2015 witnesses a large turnout of the exhibition’s visitors as the end of the exhibition is getting closer. The Omani pavilion has become one of the most important pavilions, frequented by visitors due to the outer design which is inspired by the Omani environment and architecture, and its translation of the Expo theme "Feeding the Planet, Energy for life", as well as the clarity of the message, illustrated by the introductory exhibits and paintings in different sections of the pavilion, according to Oman News Agency (ONA). The Sultanate's pavilion has received Reem Ibrahim al- Hashimi, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, Managing Director of the Higher Committee for Expo Dubai 2020 and her accompanying delegation in coincidence with the celebration of the UAE pavilion of the National Day of the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Ali Saleh al-Omair, Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs (Majlis Al Umah) in Kuwait and the accompanying delegation visited the Omani pavilion. The German Economy Minister, and Minister of Industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran also visited the Omani pavilion. Yaqoub bin Khalfan al-Busaidi, Director of the Sultanate’s pavilion accompanied the delegations in touring around the Omani pavilion, briefing them on the civilizational and human achievements of the Sultanate, in addition to the aspirations and future plans related to various aspects of food and food security, as well as explaining the design of the pavilion, inspired by the Omani environment, nature, architecture. It is worth mentioning that the number of visitors to the Omani pavilion reached more than 4 million visitors, while the number of visitors to the Sablah Restaurant reached more than 130 thousand visitors, ONA reported.
