Our projects to make Istanbul a financial center convinced many people, says Deputy PM Babacan

ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said Saturday that their projects to make Istanbul a financial center convinced many people. Speaking on a TV program on Saturday, Babacan said that he saw a lack of experience in Europe as far as economic policies were concerned. The concept of a crisis has been forgotten in Europe since the Second World War. Europeans do not know what crisis management is all about, Babacan stressed. Touching on the growing difference between the wealthy and the poor in the world, Babacan said that there was a middle class in Turkey whose numbers were constantly increasing. Ali Babacan is currently in Davos, Switzerland attending the World Economic Forum (WEF).
