Over $11b Worth Gas Condensates, Petrochemicals Exported From South Pars

Bushehr, Feb 11, IRNA – Some 14,531,000 tons of goods including light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensates, propane, butane and benzene gases worth $11.804 billion were exported from South Pars Customs House during the first 10 months of the Iranian calendar year (started on March 20). Director General of Pars Economy Energy Special Zone Ahmad Pourheidar said that of the figure, 7,561,000 tons pertain to gas condensates worth $6.732 billion. Some seven million tons of non-oil goods valued at $4.8 billion produced in the region were exported abroad during the same period, he added. He further noted that the goods were mainly exported to China, Japan, UAE, India, Indonesia, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Vietnam and Afghanistan. Pourheidar also said that some 545,531 tons of goods worth $1.790 billion were imported to the country via South Pars Custom House./end
