Preparation for election of Senate deputies

Astana, 12 September 2008, (Khabar) - Senate of the Parliament has ratified the Agreement between Kazakhstan and Romania about international automobile transportations.

Over 48 000 tonnes of cargo are transported in corridors of two countries every year. The adopted law will allow to reduce number of
bureaucratic barriers for the participants of foreign economical activity.
And the chairman of the Senate expressed tasks for the beginning session.
The main documents are drafts of Tax and Budget codes and 3-year budget and
bills "About Assembly of Kazakhstan's People", changes and additions to the
law "About judicial system and status of judges" concerning regional
self-governing. Soon the Parliament will discuss the amendments to the law
"About elections", "About political parties" and "About mass media".
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev also spoke about preparation for Senate election, it
is known that some functioning deputies also run for the election.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, chairman of the Senate of RK:
- The coming election will become the exam for trust not only for running
candidates but also for the whole system of power. That's why all the
participants of the elections must strictly observe the norms of
legislation. As the head of the state said, deputies must be more active on
all the issues and the Parliament must toughen control of laws' realization,
and realization of state programs.
