Prices on fuel to reduce

Astana, 19 July (Khabar) - The minister for energy and mineral resources Sauat Mynbayev has criticized the pricing policy of oil companies in respect of the last growth of prices on fuel and at a special meeting has charged heads of companies with providing information about reasons of price growth in five days.

According to Sauat Mynbayev today the price fixing has occurred on the
market of fuel as for the last days in several regions prices on petrol in
several regions have grown a lot.

The minister has announced that all these
facts will be investigated and the prices on fuel will soon decrease a
little.

At the meeting with representatives of oil companies it was agreed
that the price on diesel fuel all over Kazakhstan will no be more that 100
tenge per 1 litre and for producers of agricultural products not more than
91 tenge per litre, the price on which they will receive only 389 tones of
fuel.
Sauat Mynbayev also announced his intention to increase deliveries of oil to
the domestic market of Kazakhstan. If the situation with fuel does not
become stable in the near future the Ministry for energy and mineral
resources will limit the export of raw oil until land users fulfill their
obligation on filling the domestic market.

Sauat Mynbayev, Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources, RK:
- There are also subjective reasons of growing of prices in particular at
the Atyrau oil processing plant the schedule of loading of the oil
processing plant was disrupted and some under load has occurred because of
the non delivery of raw oil from Russia. So a special commission which will
go to the place and develop these issues has been created. I think that
prices will not be reduced a lot.
