RAPP Exports Acacia Seeds To Malaysia And china

Pekanbaru, Riau, Aug 27 (ANTARA) - Forest industry firm, PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP) has exported acacia seeds to Malaysia and China, marking the international recognition against the Indonesia`s forestry technology, the company`s official said. "This export indicating the international appreciation against the quality of the acacia seeds produced by RAPP," the company`s president director Kusnan Rahmin said here on Sunday. Without mentioning the acacia export figure, Kusnan explained that RAPP is able to produce around 200 million of the acacia seeds per year. According to him, RAPP has developed the nursery technology for the timber estate in Palalawan district, Riau province. RAPP has several nursery technology locations namely in Pangkalan Kerinci, Pelalawan and Baserah. In addition, RAPP has also obtained the certificates of Timber Legality Verification System (AVLK) and the Sustainable Forest Management (PHPL) for plantations since 2010, he pointed out.
