RI, South Korea To Promote OVOP Projects

Jakarta, Oct 10 (Antara) - Indonesia and South Korea are set to cooperate in the promotion and development of the One Village One Product (OVOP) projects. South Korean companies will allocate their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to the OVOP programme in Indonesia. "There are 500 OVOP projects in Indonesia. We have met South Korean representatives and identified the model of cooperation to develop the projects," said Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Ministry`s Deputy for Resources Study I Wayan Dipta on Thursday. He expressed hope that more South Korean companies will increase their investments in Indonesia while supporting the development and promotion of Indonesian SME products. Earlier, President of Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Oh Young Ho said he is committed to assisting Indonesian SME products to enter South Korea. "We have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs to promote products from the OVOP projects in the South Korean market," he said.
