Saeedlou Calls For Fostering Iran-Iraq Ties

Tehran, Feb 19, IRNA - Iran's Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou announced Saturday evening that Tehran attaches great importance to expansion of ties with Baghdad. Saeedlou made the remark in a meeting with the Iraqi visiting Construction and Housing Minister Mohammad Saheb Al-Darraji in Tehran. During the visit, the Iranian official voiced Tehran's willingness to boost economic cooperation with the neighboring Iraq. There are great potentials in both Iran and Iraq which pave the way for developing all-out cooperation, Saeedlou said. He reiterated that enhanced mutual ties between the two nations plays a pivotal role in establishment of regional peace and tranquility. Al-Darraji, for his part, called for enhanced ties with the Iranian side in all arenas, urban and housing development in particular./end
