Samsung Galaxy S III Arrives In Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 (Bernama) -- Samsung Malaysia Electronics's GALAXY S III will be available in Malaysia through its telcommunication partners Celcom, DiGi and Maxis beginning May 31, 2012, and Samsung Elite Partner outlets later in June 2012. In a statement Tuesday, managing director, Kwon Jae Hoon, said with the introduction of the Samsung GALAXY S III, the company was confident that it would surpass the success of the Samsung GALAXY S II which sold 20 million units globally since its launch last year. Samsung Malaysia said the new phone, weighing only 133 grams and 8.55mm thick, was the first device to feature quad core application processor. "This provides users with enhanced performance, faster web browsing, seamless multi-tasking, supreme graphics quality, and an instantly responsive user interface on a larger screen," it said. The Samsung GALAXY S III is powered by Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and a 2,100 mAh battery, it said. -- BERNAMA
