Fireworks spokesperson, Jerel Soo, said another exhibition, Palm Oil Expo
2012, would also be held simultaneously with SOGEX in Bintulu, in East Malaysia
state of Sarawak, which has been chosen as the preferred venue for the
international event as it had the distinction of having the fastest growth rate
in Sarawak state due to its oil palm and oil and gas activities.
Overall, the exhibitions would help grow the development of oil and gas and,
palm oil sectors and cover various topics such as innovative technologies in the
fields of oil production and the transportation of energy resources; oil and gas
equipment; oil and gas storage; and existing and future oil and gas projects in
the region.
"The difference in this year's exhibition is that a large percentage of
participants have increased the size of their exhibits and are demonstrating a
completely new design concept in their exhibition stands," he said.
With exhibitors from various countries, the visitors would have the
opportunity to witness products especially in downstream processing produced all
over the world that could benefit the oil and gas sector in Sarawak in
particular.
"We are very pleased to host new companies from overseas at this year’s
exhibition. These companies are exhibiting for the first time and their feedback
have been extremely positive.
"They were able to meet very dedicated and focused exhibitors from across
the Asean region and build key relationships that we hope will help generate a
lot of business soon after the event.
"Participants are expected to showcase an incredible range of
award-winning products from all over the world while healthy professional
debate will be held during our industry seminars and direct access will be
provided to real business opportunities," Soo said.
