Sedania Inks MoU With MDeC To Form World Innovative Team

PETALING JAYA (Selangor,Malaysia), July 10 (Bernama) -- Sedania Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Multimedia Development Corp to establish the World Innovative Team, an initiative to help Malaysian technology companies develop and market their products and services globally. Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer Azrin Mohd Noor said through the one-year initiative, the company will set aside RM1 million for 20 selected companies. He said the initiative is aimed at driving innovation and bringing fresh ideas to greater heights, tapping into the US$2 trillion global technology market. "We want to help open doors of opportunity for the technopreneurs to move even further, to propel the growth of our World Innovative Team and help realise the government's aspirations to be a high-income economy," he told reporters after signing the MoU here on Tuesday. Representing MDeC was its Chief Executive Officer Badlisham Ghazali. Azrin said through the partnership, MDeC will recommend potential and credible MSC Malaysia status companies, focusing on mobile communication, media and the travel industry, to Sedania for evaluation. Once selected, he said, the businesses will be eligible for capital injection which covers development costs of up to RM50,000 (US$15,697) for each company including for hardware and software. Established in 2003, Sedania is a fulfilment group covering mobile innovation, television content, advertising, consumer engagement, energy research and development, and travel solutions. -- BERNAMA
