Support of small and medium-sized businesses
Almaty, 18 February 2009, (Khabar) - The decision of the government to extend the term of the moratorium on inspections of small and medium-sized businesses will make it possible to increase the effectiveness of production, strongly believe entrepreneurs of Almaty. According to them, apart from that, this measure will help weather the financial setback with much fewer losses.
Muratkhan Tokmadi, director general of enterprise:
- Signing and prolonging the moratorium will obviously play a positive role as small and medium-sized businesses will be busy dealing with their core issues concerning the promotion of their production, paying off their obligations to the banks, making decision on wages for their employees and retaining work places.
Concessional lending for small and medium-sized businesses, amendments to the law on state purchases directed at supporting local producers and the prolongation of the standstill agreement all represent the complex support which is especially needed for business today, say entrepreneurs.
