Tehran to turn into major gasoline exporter in world : Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN,Dec.24 (MNA) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underlined Iran's self-sufficiency in producing the nation's needed gasoline, and said Tehran will turn into a major gasoline exporter in the world by next year. "We have started gasoline exports and we will turn into a major exporter of gasoline by next year," Ahmadinejad said, addressing a large number of people in Varamin city. He described Iran's self-sufficiency in gasoline production as a result of both the efforts made by Iranian experts and the implementation of the subsidy reform plan in the country, and said if Tehran had not implemented the subsidy plan, the country would have been forced to pay $15bln to foreign countries for gasoline imports.
