Thai PM:There has been no imported pork from US

BANGKOK, October 11 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha says that there has been no imported pork from the United States yet. The prime minister told journalists on October 10, after the Cabinet's weekly meeting at Bangkok's Government House, that a plan on importing pork from the United States remains under the consideration of the Thai Ministry of Commerce. The prime minister said that the Thai Ministry of Commerce has been assigned to set up a task force to carefully study pros and cons of the plan in details, including relevant international laws. "When I met US President Donald Trump during my recent official visit to the United States, I didn't raise this issue for talks.The Thai Ministry of Commerce is in charge of the issue and there has not been any import of pork from the US market yet", the Thai premier explained.
