Training course offered for business entrepreneurs

BANGKOK May 22 (TNA) -- The Commerce Ministry’s Business Development Department will create a total of 200 new business operators during a three-month session, starting June, through training coursed called "SMART Trader Programme", said Pongpan Jiarawiriyipan, director-general of the department. The creation of new skilled business operators of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is in line with the government’s policy in making the Thai economy strong on a sustainable basis, she said. Initially, four provinces including Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Chon Buri and Songkhla will be the location for developing business operators with each province will be allowed to create 50 players, said Miss Pongpan. The "SMART Trader Programme" is arranged following a cooperation between the department and Chulalongkorn University’s Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration. The programme provides knowledge in three fields including managing business systemically, new marketing strategy and skills on business negotiations. (TNA)
