Turkish minister: Concrete actions on TANAP project implementation project to be made this year

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 8 / Trend A. Taghiyeva / The concrete actions (in particular, creating a legal framework and launching the land operations) will be made within the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline project (TANAP) this year, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz told media in Baku today. "At present, we are engaged in determining the exact route through which the TANAP gas pipeline will pass," he said. According to the minister, this project implementation will benefit not only to Turkey and Azerbaijan, but the region. Baku hosts a meeting of the World Economic Forum (Davos Forum) "Strategic dialogue on the future of the South Caucasus and Central Asia" today. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the event. He delivered a speech at the forum. The voting on how the participants see the future of the South Caucasus and Central Asia was held at the forum. Some 62.3 per cent of participants voted for integration, 22 per cent - the fragmentation and 15.7 per cent - the polarization of regions.
