UAE State Security Circuit at Federal Supreme Court reserves rulings on verdicts in two terrorism cases

ABU DHABI, 8th September, 2015 (WAM) -- The State Security Circuit at the Federal Supreme Court, headed by Justice Shahab Al Hammadi, has reserved its ruling until 14th September in the case of an Emirati, identified by his initials as S.Y.M, 19, accused of planning to join the terrorist organisation, Daesh. The court heard yesterday the pleading of the defence lawyer, in which he called for acquitting his client from all the charges made against him. Meanwhile, the court also decided to reserve its ruling in the case of another Emirati identified as K.T.R. who is accused of planning to join the terrorist organisation, al Nusra Front, an affiliate of the al-Qaeda terrorist organisation, until 28th September. It also heard a witness account in the case of a GCC national identified as K.F.A., accused of disseminating information, data, rumours and pictures on websites and social networking sites, with an intent to ridicule and damage the reputation and prestige of the state symbols. The court deferred the hearing to 14th September to hear the pleading of K.F.A.'s defence lawyer. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395285211018.html
