UFL Targets RM1 Million Revenue From New Product This Year

KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) -- Local importer of the fitness and outdoor equipment, Universal Fitness and Leisure Sdn Bhd (UFL) is confident of raking in RM1 million (US$326,211.06) in sales revenue this year from its newly-launched product, Power Plate My7. Its Managing Director Radha Krishnan said this was based on the company's massive marketing campaign undertaken for the past three months. "We have spent about RM50,000 (US$16,310.55) for advertising campaign through various channnels such as magazines, newspapers and a few roadshows. "So, we are quite confident that we can achieve the sales target," he told reporters after the official launch of the product for Asia Pacific region by the Crown Prince of Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, here on Friday. The global launch of the product was held during the world's leading trade show for fitness, wellness and health, FIBO exhibition in Germany last April. "So far, we have sold about 10 units of the product to our target consumers such as golf academy and individuals early this year. We are targeting to sell another 30 units this year," he said. UFL is the sole distributor of the product in Malaysia. The product was manufactured by UK-based company Power Plate International. Priced from RM39,000 (US$12,722.23), the products are available at all UFL stores nationwide from Friday. Among its features is the DualSync Twin Monitor System which allows perfect synchronisation of vibration for maximum muscle response and efficiency. -- BERNAMA
