(Update) Turkish deputy premier receives Polish business award on behalf of Turkish premier

WARSAW (A.A) - January 22, 2012 - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan accepted on Saturday the Golden Statuette of Leader of Polish Business Center Blub on behalf of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.   "I am very happy to receive this special award on behalf of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan," Babacan told a ceremony at Warsaw's National Opera House.  Babacan said Turkey and Poland had deeply rooted relations, adding that economic ties between the two countries had gained remarkable momentum over the past years with a 5 billion USD trade volume in 2011.  Babacan also invited Polish businesspeople to invest in Turkey. Turkish premier sent a video message to the ceremony saying that cooperation between Turkey and Poland would make major contributions to their regions and the global economy and that the two countries would set an example for others to overcome economic crisis.     "This valuable award will strengthen friendship between our two countries and nations and foster a new hope for the future," Erdogan said in his video message.
