World Bank positively evaluates business prospects in Kazakhstan
Astana, 29 November 2008 (Khabar) - Foreign investors have positively evaluated the prospects of business in Kazakhstan. According to them, over recent months, the investment climate of the republic has seen an increase. Experts also say that such an increase is the result of the recently issued World Bank’s high investment rating for Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan has been taking the leading position in business ratings for several years now. In compliance with next years’ forecast, Kazakhstan is to take 70th place out of 181 moving 10 positions up. The most positive results were achieved in terms of property registration and obtaining loans. The country also holds a stable position regarding the execution of contracts, investors’ protection and taxation. According to project coordinators, there are some improvements in the business environment which is why Kazakhstan has got every chance of joining the world’s top 50 countries with the most favourable conditions for entrepreneurship. The main aim for the country is to join the world’s top 10 reformed countries.
