Ceremonies of Moving into New Houses Held in Rural Areas of DPRK

Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- Modern houses were newly built in different rural villages of North and South Phyongan, South Hwanghae and Kangwon provinces and Nampho City in the DPRK, demonstrating the validity and vitality of the programme for the socialist rural revolution set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea.

Fairyland-like villages were newly built at the Sinsi Farm in Chonma County, Songhak Farm in Anju City, Sokjang Farm in Jangyon County, Sangum Farm in Anbyon County and Husan Farm in Ryonggang County. They have been built to retain the national flavor and emotion and preserve the regional characteristics. They are homes of happiness telling the warm love of the Party for the agricultural workers to enjoy socialist civilization to the full while feeling the worthwhile lives and delight of labour.

Ceremonies of moving into new houses took place on the spots.

Attending the ceremonies were officials of the Party and power organs of North and South Phyongan, South Hwanghae and Kangwon provinces and Nampho City, builders, officials of those units who contributed to the construction and agricultural workers to be moved into new houses, where congratulatory speeches were made.

Licenses for the use of the houses were conveyed and oath-taking speeches were made.

Working people danced with joy when people were moving into new houses, and the sound of songs reverberated through windows of every house.

Officials visited the owners of new houses and shared joys with them. -0-
