Chamber of Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and Committee of Trade of Shanxi Province sign coop agreement

Bishkek, May 23, 2023. /Kabar/. During the visit to China, a meeting was held between President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan (CCI) Temir Sariev and Chairman of the Committee for the Promotion of International Trade of Shanxi Province of China Ma Yuhong.

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the meeting the sides raised a number of issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation. Both sides expressed deep interest in strengthening and expanding cooperation within the framework of trade and economic ties.

Temir Sariev emphasized the importance of developing trade and investment between Kyrgyzstan and Shanxi province, and expressed his readiness to support initiatives aimed at strengthening business ties between both sides.

During the meeting, ways to promote trade exchange were discussed, including increasing exports and imports of goods and services, developing joint projects and attracting investments. The sides also expressed their intention to actively conduct business missions, exhibitions and forums to stimulate interaction between entrepreneurs of both countries.

The meeting with the chairman of the Shanxi International Trade Promotion Committee was an important step in strengthening bilateral ties and creating new business opportunities. Both sides expressed their hope for productive and mutually beneficial cooperation, which will contribute to the development of the economy and the strengthening of friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Shanxi province.

The sides also discussed investment in the economy of Kyrgyzstan by the Shanxing Coal and Chemical Industrial Corporation, which is responsible for the construction of the Junda oil refinery in Kara-Balta.

Representatives of this large company expressed their intention to start the second stage of the construction of the plant and focus on the deep processing of petroleum products of the European standard K5, as well as on the production of polypropylene.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Committee for the Promotion of International Trade of Shanxi Province of China.
