Coal Production Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- Officials and coal miners of the Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex boost the coal production.

The complex has directed primary efforts to the ideological work to redouble the enthusiasm of coal miners out in the socialist patriotic movement for increased coal production following the spirit of the workers of the Jagang Provincial Supply Coal Mine, and boosted the present production, expanded capacity and pushed forward technical upgrading.

Members of the Cha Kwang Su Youth Shock Brigade of the Namyang Coal Mine and other shock brigades of the complex are overfulfilling their daily quotas by raising enthusiasm of the socialist emulation.

The Jenam and Tokchon coal mines have introduced efficient production methods to raise the extraction rate and ensure the full operation of electric cars and winches, thus transporting the excavated coal in time.

The Sochang Youth Coal Mine and the Namyang Coal Mine are making successes in tunneling for a belt pit project, and the coal miners of the Hyongbong Coal Mine are increasing production.

The Tokchon Coal-mining Machine Factory has produced coal cars, wheels of electric cars and accessories for various kinds of equipment in time and sent them to coal mines, thus contributing to carrying out the complex-wide plan. -0-
