Deputy chairman of Kyrgyz Cabinet meets with USAID representatives

Bishkek, May 17, 2023. / Kabar /. Deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting with representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), headed by Deputy Assistant Administrator Anjali Kaur.

According to the press service of the Cabinet, during the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and promising areas of cooperation in the field of agriculture, the creative economy, education, information technology, the energy industry, including in the field of renewable energy sources and climate change.

In this context, Bakyt Torobaev noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the development of a green economy in the country, mentioning the country's initiative to exchange external debt for sustainable projects to protect the environment.

In turn, Anjali Kaur emphasized the intensification of bilateral relations and expressed her readiness to support projects of mutual interest.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the development of contacts to strengthen cooperation.
