Efforts for Developing Fruit Farming Made in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- True to the Workers' Party of Korea's policy on fruit farming to provide the people with quality and tasty fruits, many units in the DPRK strive to lay a solid foundation for developing fruit farming.

This year witnessed the new creation of more than 1 000 hectares of dwarf apple orchard and the replacement of fruit trees with new ones in more than 4 500 hectares.

Fruit producers across the country have planted fruit trees of high productivity and quality and manured and tended them well according to their growth conditions. -0-
