Ryan Deedat Wants To Take 'Salimah' 'To Global Musical Arena
KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) – Luck seems to be on the side of singer Ryan Deedat when his latest single ‘Salimah’ not only pushed up his name in the local cultural arena, but also drew the interest of label company Sony Music based in Los Angeles, United States to reproduce the song in the Latin language.
Real owner of the name, Sheikh Eamir Deedat, 26, said everything started when the composer of the song Salimah, Adam Armin who works with the giant company showed his song to the management of the company.
Ryan said that what was surprising was that they showed interest on his song.
“Although everything is still at the initial stage of planning, I was told that they want to change the rhythm of Salimah into a Latin melody. In fact, I will sing it in the Latin language.
“What is more exciting, for the Latin version. I was also made to understand that I will do a duet with a renowned singer from the United States,” he told Bernama.
Ryan added that the recording company planned to market the song Salimah in the Latin version to Mexico, before pushing it to the whole of Latin America and subsequently making other plans to look at the United States market and the world.
