Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan ready to invest over USD 70 mln in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 5, 2023. / Kabar /. Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan are ready to invest over USD 70 million in Kyrgyzstan, the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to the agency, in order to fulfill the agreements worked out through the National Agency, within the framework of the last business forum "Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan", as well as for the qualitative study of projects included in the "Road Map" list, between the National Agency and the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed following the visit of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov to Uzbekistan, a working visit of Director of the National Agency Umbriel Temiraliev to Uzbekistan took place.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan L. Kudratov. The sides noted the positive dynamics in the development of economic relations and stressed the importance of fulfilling all agreements that need to be implemented by the end of 2023.

At the same time, Temiraliev visited manufacturing enterprises and held a meeting with entrepreneurs who expressed their interest and readiness to invest more than USD 70 million in Kyrgyzstan.

The National Agency is actively working on the implementation of joint projects with Uzbekistan related to the construction of an enterprise for the production of basalt fiber, the production of calcium carbide, textile and clothing production, as well as the construction of a plant for the enrichment of quartz in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
