7.0-magnitude quake jolts Azerbaijan`s Zagatala region

Baku, May 7 (AzerTAc). An earthquake occurred at 09:40 local time on Monday from 17km south-west of Zagatala, Azerbaijan. According to the Seismological Service of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the magnitude 5.0 and 2.0 quakes were also felt in Zagatala and Balakan and Gakh, Oguz, Shaki, Mingachevir, Gadabay and Shamkir regions respectively. Cracks in buildings and light damages have been reported.
