Conservation of biodiversity a key priority: Hamdan bin Zayed
Abu Dhabi, Feb 4, 2013 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) has called on the Emirati community to contribute to sustaining the vision and strategy of the UAE government for biodiversity conservation.
In a statement to mark the 6th national environment day, Sheikh Hamdan said the celebration of the day under the them 'living desert' for the third consecutive year shows how interested the UAE is in biodiversity conservation, in partnership with the non government organisations, academic institutions and the private sector.
"Our success in preserving natural and rich resources will enable us to guarantee environmental sustainability to the future generations," he added. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
