Green TV launched in Thailand

BANGKOK, December 24 (TNA) - Green TV, Thailand's first public service broadcasting channel dedicated to environmental issues, has now been launched. Senior Executive Vice President of CAT Telecom Public Company Limited (CAT) Sompol Chanprasert and President of Thailand’s Green Army Network Ditpichet Suwannapho jointly signed an agreement on the launch of Green TV, 11 latest public service broadcasting channels, in Bangkok on Friday to globally present environmental conservation programs through multimedia smart TV, smart phone, IPAD and computer PC networks, as the project is supported by CAT e-Entertainment system. Green TV brings together films and programs from a range of environmental organisations to promote natural resource and environmental conservation in order to keep up with global and domestic trends. All programs will begin to air in April, 2012. (TNA)
