IDEA Campaign demonstrates environmental movie

Baku, June 14 (AzerTAc). The environmental and popular documentary film “Home” has been showed in the IDEA Resource Center located at the Public Administration Academy under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the “17 June-World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought” as part of the “Eco Cinema” project of IDEA Campaign, which is the first and unique in Azerbaijan. The movie screening was followed by a forty-five-minute discussion with circa 30 youths. The film “Home” is a unique documentary that aims to save the future of environment and gain youth around the unified goal. It is worth mentioning that the “Home” was shot with the help of special helicopters and other means of recording all over the world for several years. The documentary helps people to get acquainted with the beauty of the Earth, and visualize the harms of environmental problems that might have negative impact on this beauty. “Home” has been translated into more than 14 languages so far; and IDEA Campaign is planning to translate it into Azerbaijani and broadcast it through the local TV channels in Azerbaijan. IDEA Campaign plans to demonstrate films and organize the discussions of the movies among the students every two weeks in the IDEA Resource Center as part of the “Eco Cinema” project.
