Iran, China's Jiangsi Province Sign Agreement On Geology Co-op

Tehran, Aug 7, IRNA - - Deputy head of Iran's Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization Behrouz Borna on Monday said Iran and Chinese province of Jiangci have signed the third agreement to expand cooperation in the field of geology. He said Iran has been cooperating with China especially with the Jiangsi province's Geological and Mineral Resources Company for about 25 years. Borna said the Chinese company and its Iranian counterpart are successfully cooperating in constructing a factory for gold mines of Damehan and Sharafabad in East Azarbaijan province, geochemical plate factory in Garmsar and Torbat Heidarieh. Pointing to the singing of the third agreement with the Chinese company, he said Iran has recently explored some precious gold, copper, potassium and monazite mines in Hormuzgan, Kurdestan and Yazd provinces in which the Chinese company is eager to make investment./end
