Magnitude 5.3 Quake Jolts Central Java

JAKARTA, Aug 4 (Antara) - A magnitude 5.3 quake hit Cilacap in Central Java ag 23.14 hours on Thursday. The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics in its website said the epicentre was in the sea, 79 km southwest of Cilacap in Central Java at a depth of 22 kilometer. It did not have the potential to cause tsunami. The tremor was also felt in Yogyakarta, Kebumen, Pacitan in East Java Pangandaran in West Java.
