Municipal officials hold emergency meeting on Tehran air pollution

TEHRAN, Dec.11 (MNA) – Municipal officials held an emergency meeting on Saturday to explore ways of reducing air pollution in Tehran. Heavy air pollution has gripped Tehran over the past few days. Heavy air pollution in Tehran on some days in autumn and winter, due to inversion and the geographical location of Tehran, which is surrounded by mountains, is a common phenomenon, which forces officials to take emergency measures like closing schools, universities, and government offices and imposing special traffic restrictions.
