Expo 2023 Doha/Dutch Pavilion Inaugurated

Doha, October 11 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the State of Qatar Ferdinand Lahnstein inaugurated the Dutch Pavilion at the International Zone of International Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha Qatar in the presence of HE General Commissioner of Expo 2023 Doha Ambassador Badr bin Omar Al Dafa along with several members of the Netherlands embassy and the Dutch community in Qatar.
The Dutch Pavilion is divided into four sections, where visitors can explore the most prominent Dutch innovations and sustainable practices in the fields of water, energy, food, and the latest technological innovations in sustainability.
The Pavilion features three main colors: blue, red, and yellow, and offers visitors an inspirational and miniaturized model of an integrated environment. This showcases a different vision for a sustainable green future that addresses challenges such as population growth and the increasing demand for vital resources like water, energy, and food.
Visitors to the pavilion can learn about the latest Dutch water innovations used in agriculture, including water generation through air condensation, relying on clean electricity from solar energy.
Additionally, the pavilion is adorned with a variety of Dutch plants and flowers, featuring a visual presentation to introduce modern farming techniques and ways to support innovation in the Netherlands, making sustainability a way of life followed by nations and individuals.
The Dutch Pavilion aims to create a contrast between a desert garden with local plants and a Dutch garden with lush greenery.
HE General Commissioner of Expo 2023 Doha Ambassador Badr bin Omar Al Dafa highlighted that the Dutch Pavilion represents a new addition to the global exhibition, containing diverse innovations and introducing visitors to modern farming practices in the Netherlands. He also emphasized that Expo 2023 Doha provides an unprecedented opportunity for participating countries and international organizations to showcase their creative initiatives, agricultural practices, diverse cultures, and rich heritage.
He pointed out that the upcoming days will witness the opening of several new pavilions from Arab and international countries, with the presence of officials from these nations, to showcase the latest innovations in sustainability and introduce the cultures of the participating countries. (QNA)
