Iran pursuing fixed stance concerning Vienna talks

Tehran, IRNA – The Islamic Republic of Iran has underscored repeatedly that Tehran will not allow other sides to use safeguards issues relating to its nuclear program as leverage to put pressure on the country. Iran has shown that it is pursuing a stable diplomatic agenda especially when it comes to the 2015 nuclear deal and the talks in Vienna, Austria, to revive the accord and remove anti-Iran sanctions. Iranian top nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani has determined that the Islamic Republic pursues rational, legitimate, and clear stance, which can be a standard for any text each time. A review of recent developments regrading Iran’s negotiations with the P4+1 group (Britain, France, China, Russia plus Germany) shows that one of the main principles of the Islamic Republic is that the Iranians will not retreat in the face of propaganda operation as well as fake deadlines in line with the West’s campaign to put the ball in Iran’s court. The Vienna talks are expected to end up in lifting anti-Iran sanctions; so, the West should guarantee that they will not repeat the previous acts in particular what happened during Donald Trump’s presidency in respect of the United States’ withdrawal from the internationally recognized deal. **The situation of Vienna talks The review of new proposal made by the European trio (Britain, France and Germany) was a sort of motivation to restart talks for lifting sanctions. Now following Iranians’ response to the European and American stances, the Western powers still reiterate their old policy of putting the ball in Iran’s court by using expressions such as being unconstructive or disappointing for Tehran’s response in a bid to put the blame of any potential failure on Iranians’ shoulders. **The White House’s game The revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the removal of anti-Iran sanctions depend upon a political decision-making, which is facing pressures from the Zionist regime and its allies, who try to get in the way of restoring the deal. Mohammad Marandi, an Iranian analyst, tweeted that it is time for the Biden administration to take a serious decision, and if the US adopts a correct choice, a Vienna agreement would be within reach. Of course, the impact of war in Ukraine is significant, because Moscow and Tehran are strategic partners with big oil reservoirs in the globe; so, the Europeans and Americans should adopt a stance, which would not endanger energy security of its allies. **Using European winter as a codename The Western media outlets have started a campaign in order to lead Iranian and international public opinion to reach the conclusion that the Islamic Republic waits for winter to use cold weather and the need for oil and gas in Europe as an advantage to squeeze concessions! But Iran continued to pursue a stable stance on the nuclear deal away from summer or winter developments. Facts and figures on the ground prove that Iran’s position did not change in comparison to winter in this year or last year. The Islamic Republic has never resorted to energy leverage to pursue its policy. Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said recently that Tehran is very sensitive on outstanding issues related to safeguards agreement, which were raised based on the Zionist regime’s claims. The Islamic Republic has shown very good cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for several years, and the UN nuclear watchdog has supervised the country’s nuclear program seriously. Iranian President Ebrahimi Raisi underlined that the closure of safeguards allegations will pave the way for reaching a final agreement in the Vienna talks. **Tension in Tel Aviv The Islamic Republic has followed up the policy of patience and thoughtfulness in line with its national interests, but the Zionist regime is suffering from tension and panic regarding the revival of the JCPOA. Some Zionist officials traveled to Washington to urge the White House to stop reviving the nuclear deal. They also kicked off an international campaign to get in the way of reaching consensus with Iran in this regard. Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
