100 Malaysian Youths To Participate In Malaysia-China Youth Exchange Programme 2012

PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia), April 17 (Bernama) -- A total of 100 Malaysian youths have been selected to participate in the Malaysia-China Youth Exchange Programme 2012 to be held for 10 days beginning April 18. Youth and Sports Minister of Malaysia Ahmad Shabery Cheek said the selected youths, aged between 18 and 29, included students. "This programme and initiative have been agreed to by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and Prime Minister Wen Jiabao of China when they met end of last year," he told reporters after meeting the participants at his ministry here Tuesday. Also present was Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Chai Xi. "I hope this programme will open a new era between Malaysia and China to further strengthen ties between the two countries,' he added. --BERNAMA
