11th Edition of ADIHEX kicks off in September 2013

Abu Dhabi, June 10, 2013 (WAM) - Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconer s Club, and with the support of the Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee Abu Dhabi, the 11th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2013) will be held from the 4th to the 7th of September. Organised by the Emirates Falconer s Club, ADIHEX enjoys a top position at the forefront of international hunting exhibitions in terms of number of visitors. It also plays an important role in attracting visitors and tourists from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the world in general. Chairman of the ADIHEX Higher Organising Committee and Adviser for Culture and Heritage in the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouei noted that: "The overwhelming response to the Exhibition during previous editions, both in terms of participation and daily public visits, clearly demonstrates people s desire and need for all that is reminiscent of the past, authenticity and inherited traditions." Over its previous editions, ADIHEX has gained international renown, and has become a top destination for the manufacturers of hunting and equestrian gear and related equipment. It has turned into a serious competitor to the world's most important exhibitions thanks to its various and special activities. ADIHEX represents a meeting place for advocates of environment preservation, hunting enthusiasts, poets and artists. This fact gives the Exhibition a distinguished regional and international dimension that helps it raise the awareness on sustainable hunting, and promote the preservation of the historical legacy, with all its characteristics, virtues and values. Director of ADIHEX, Abdullah Al- Qubaisi, said, "As part of the promotional campaign for the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, the Organising Committee has participated in several international exhibitions, including a successful and fruitful participation in Germany through an active presence in the international trade fair for hunting and equipment, IWA, in Nuremberg." Organisers of world-famous exhibitions have expressed their desire to strengthen cooperation with ADIHEX, which represents, for international companies, an important window on the major hunting, and equestrian market in the Gulf region and the Middle East. Among the factors that make ADIHEX an important event are the large turnout of visitors and exhibitors, the promotion of direct sales, the conclusion of major deals, and promotional campaigns, in addition to the world-class reputation that Abu Dhabi has secured as far as the organisation of fairs and exhibitions of high excellence is considered. ADIHEX 2013, which will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), has already achieved bookings of more than 85%. Most of the exhibitors who participated in the last edition have confirmed their return. It is highly expected that space for the Exhibition will be increased to accommodate new participants. Several international companies, participating for the first time, have also pre-booked for ADIHEX 2013. While seeking to encourage the revival of fine heritage, the Exhibition works to present sophisticated methods aimed at preserving the environment and sustainable hunting. ADIHEX emphasises the use of traditional tools in hunting and falconry. These tools were used by Arabs in ancient history and have become part of the Arab individuality in the Arabian Peninsula, along with all the available technological innovations which give more accurate and effective results. ADIHEX boasts strong participation of major local and international companies specialised in the hunting weapons sector. These companies hope for an increase in sales through the promotion of distinctive products at the Exhibition. In order to meet the expectations of both amateurs and experts in the sectors of fishing, diving, cruises and marine sports, the new edition of ADIHEX will be characterised by an increase in the number of exhibitors in the category of Sports Fishing and Marine Sports.
