15 surgeries in line with Premier's directives

Manama, Mar 6 (BNA): Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) Lt-Gen Doctor Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa today received Health Undersecretary Dr. Aisha Bu-Unq accompanied with Professor Dr. Tom De Jong of the Netherlands. Professor Dr. Tom De Jong is being hosted by the Health Ministry in conformity with directives of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on inviting consultants to perform complicated surgeries for a number of children at Salmaniya Medical Complex on 6-10 March 2016. SCH Chairman pointed Bahrain's keenness on providing best medical services for citizens and residents. He noted the SCH role in developing the national health strategy and the leaderships' support for the development of the national health system. Dr. Tom De Jong is a specialist in children urinary tract. He has examined 20 children suffering from congenital abnormalities of the urinary tract and genital organs. He will operate 15 cases during his visit. Training programmes and workshops will be held to benefit the SMC cadres from Dr. De Jong' expertise.
